Congratulations! You're almost a Blugold

We are so excited that you applied to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In order to become a Blugold you will need to take care of the next steps below.

Activate your account by visiting https://myusername.uwec.edu. You will need your username and campus ID, which are found in your admit letter or application acknowledgment email.

After being admitted and activating your account, sign in to MyBlugold CampS. Once you've logged in, select Pay Enrollment Deposit from the menu on the left-hand side. From here you will indicate the term you were admitted to, whether you are a freshman or transfer student, and how you wish to pay your deposit(s). Note that if you plan to stay in the residence halls, you can pay your $75 housing deposit at the same time you pay your enrollment deposit. You can also submit these payments through Flywire

Log into MyBlugold CampS and sign your Payment Plan Agreement (PPA). Completing this step along with paying your enrollment deposit (step 2 above) will let your academic advisor know you're ready to start planning your schedule! 

(China 121 students complete application only, no deposit necessary.)

Make a $75 (nonrefundable) housing deposit (refer to step 2) and submit your housing application to secure your spot in one of our residence halls. You will be notified of your residence hall placement and roommate a couple of weeks before the start of the semester.

Learn about the Host Friend Program, which creates and promotes cross-cultural understanding by fostering relationships between international students and Eau Claire area residents.

Host friend applications will continue to be accepted through June 30 (for fall semester) and November 30 (for spring semester), but placements are subject to availability.

(Not applicable for China121, exchange, or IEP students.)

After activating your account, apply online for scholarships. Sign in using your UW-Eau Claire username and password. Once you're logged in, select Admissions Scholarship Application — International Students Only. For the scholarship descriptions, criteria, and amounts, visit our scholarship website.

Students who apply earlier may receive earlier notification of their scholarship award.

Contact the U.S. consulate in your home country for information regarding the SEVIS fee and applying for a student visa. Learn more.

Spring 2019 - Arrive in Eau Claire
To reach Eau Claire, you may book a connecting flight to the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (EAU) via Chicago O'Hare (ORD). You may also fly into Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) and reserve a seat on the airport shuttle to Eau Claire.

Host Friend Program participants should arrive in Eau Claire on Saturday, January 26, for the start of the homestay. Your host will pick you up at either the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (EAU) or the Eau Claire shuttle stop for the airport shuttle service.

If you are not participating in the Host Friend Program, plan to arrive in Eau Claire on Monday, January 28. You will not have access to the residence halls prior to Monday, January 28, at 7:45 a.m.

International Student Orientation will take place January 28-February 1. Your attendance is mandatory.

  • April 1 - Classes resume
  • May 20-24 - Final examinations

Mail or bring your official, original, or certified true copies of your school records and graduation certificate (if applicable) to the Admissions Office (Schofield Hall, Room 111).
