Follow these steps to enroll in coursework

After you have applied and been notified of your eligibility to enroll as a special/non-degree-seeking student, follow these steps to enroll in your coursework.

If you have questions regarding classes or programs, please contact the Advising, Retention and Career Center at arcc@uwec.edu or 715-836-3487.

1. Access your UWEC Account

Activate your account here. You will need your username and campus ID, which are found both in the application acknowledgment email and the email about your next steps for registration. This email is sent to the email address you specified on your application within about 24-48 hours of the time you submit your application.

2. Sign your Payment Plan Agreement

The payment plan agreement must be signed every term prior to registering for courses. After activating your account, sign in to MyBlugold CampS. Go to Tasks > Holds > PPA and complete the online form as directed. Be sure to follow the steps carefully. A hold will be placed on your registration until this is completed.

3. Locate your enrollment date

Because of the demand for some courses and limitations on enrollment, degree-seeking students will be given enrollment priority over non-degree-seeking students. To find out when you are eligible to register, sign in to MyBlugold CampS and go to Manage Classes > Enrollment Appointments. Select the term for which you are registering.

4. Monitor the availability of classes

In MyBlugold CampS, go to Manage Classes > Class Search and Enroll > select term. Enter keywords for the courses in which you wish to enroll. More information can be found here.

Some courses may have enrollment requirements, such as consent from the department or completion of prerequisites. If necessary, contact the department offering the course to request permission. Be prepared to provide evidence (i.e. transcripts) that you meet the requirements to enroll in the course.

As a non-degree seeking student, you will register after all degree seeking students have had a chance to register. As a result, your intended course(s) may not be available. You are encouraged to reach out to the Advising, Retention + Career Center via this survey indicating your desired courses. An advisor will reach out to you and can discuss the likelihood of the course(s) being available when you are eligible to register. Open courses are more likely available for non-degree seeking students during the summer term and winter term (January), although course offerings are limited and vary from year to year.

5. Register for classes

On your enrollment appointment date, you will register for classes from your Student Center in MyBlugold CampS. The process resembles online shopping: Search for the classes you want (see step 4 above), plan your schedule by placing classes in your shopping cart, validate your classes, and enroll in them. For detailed instructions on enrolling in classes, click here.

Note: The initial planning stage, where you place classes in your Shopping Cart, can be done prior to your registering appointment time. The actual enrollment, however, will not be accessible until your enrollment appointment time has been reached.

Please complete this short advising survey, and then an advisor from the Advising, Retention + Career Center will reach out to you via your UWEC email account.
