There are countless ways to get involved on campus and find your people. 

You may find a perfect student organization, or two or three, that fit your interests, or maybe you’ll start your own! You might find a passion for group exercise classes or canoeing through the Recreation programs. Or you could find your people by serving the community through service learning. 

All that matters is that you go out and look for something, anything, that lights a spark in you and connects you with others. 

Join a Student Organization

Student organizations are the backbone of student life at UWEC. There are more than 200 orgs to choose from, ranging from academic, professional, and political to the spiritual, cultural, creative and athletic. Dig in and find one or two that sound interesting to you. You’ll have the chance to explore them in real life at Blu’s Org Bash, which happens at the beginning of each semester.

Beta Alpha Psi provides opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing financial professionals. We encourage a sense of ethical, social and public responsibilities. Members have ongoing opportunities to participate in campus and community service activities.

Get Active

With plenty of fitness and wellness opportunities on campus, you can connect with friends and get your steps in at the same time. Take a yoga or cycling class, hit the weights, join a soccer team, or climb the indoor rock wall.

Recreation & Sports
Maintaining an active lifestyle is a huge part of the Blugold experience. Sixty percent of students are involved in some kind of recreational activity — whether indoor or outdoor, spring or fall.

Service Learning & Volunteering

Another great way to get involved in the community is to serve it. All Blugolds participate in some form of service learning to fulfill a graduation requirement, and some continue to serve throughout their years as a Blugold and beyond. Service learning provides a way to learn skills, investigate careers, and build a personal network.
