Lillie Gohde is thankful a newfound friend at UW-Eau Claire – Barron County pushed them out of their comfort zone to become an active leader in student government and multiple organizations on campus.

For biomedical engineering major Lauryn Ahlm of Rogers, Minnesota, success in college meant, in part, keeping a chronic medical condition well controlled. Thanks to her service dog, Rosie, Ahlm's severe migraines did not sideline her during college and she is off this summer to a job in medical device manufacturing.

Dr. Rae Langes, an assistant professor in the department of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality studies at UW-Eau Claire, is among the recipients of the 2024 Dr. P.B. Poorman Award for Outstanding Achievement on Behalf of LGBTQ+ People from the Universities of Wisconsin.
