Dr. Rae Langes, an assistant professor in the department of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality studies at UW-Eau Claire, is among the recipients of the 2024 Dr. P.B. Poorman Award for Outstanding Achievement on Behalf of LGBTQ+ People from the Universities of Wisconsin.
Retiring Blugold Marching Band director Dr. Randal Dickerson was presented with a surprise Honorary Alumnus Award from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Alumni Association Nov. 7 for his 25 years of service.
On Sept. 16, Foust, professor emeritus of geography at UW-Eau Claire, was one of 16 new fellows hosted at an induction gala event in the Madison area.

I had never had testing accommodations before UWEC, but a professor noticed that I was struggling during testing times and told me about SSD. Now, I get extra time and a quiet environment. It has really improved my grades as well as my mindset on testing within the schooling system.
