Housing & Residence Life

Activate your account by visiting https://myusername.uwec.edu. You will need your username and campus ID, which are found in your admit letter or application acknowledgement email.

After being admitted and activating your account (step 1 above), sign in to MyBlugold CampS. Once you've logged in, follow the steps below:

· Select Pay Housing Deposit from the menu on the left-hand side.
· Select Make a Payment or Deposit.

From here you will check the Housing Deposit box. Note that you may pay the enrollment deposit (indicate Freshman or Transfer) at the same time you pay your housing deposit. Indicate the term you were admitted to, the Housing Year (for Fall 2018 you would indicate the 2018-2019 year), and how you wish to pay your deposit(s).

Housing assignments are first-come, first-served--so don't procrastinate! Students are guaranteed on-campus living if the application and deposit are submitted by April 20. Both steps are needed to secure your spot in the residence halls.

The University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire’s Housing & Residence Life office is proud to offer RoomSync as our optional preferred roommate matching software to help you in finding your roommate. This service is available to incoming first year and transfer students. Access to RoomSync can be found by visiting My Housing Portal.

By using a passcode-protected Facebook app, UW-Eau Claire works closely with RoomSync to provide our residents with the unique opportunity to interact with other students while safely finding future roommates.  Students can only use RoomSync after obtaining a special passcode from Housing & Residence Life.  We do not honor any roommate requests made through other services so we encourage students to make sure they are only engaging with the RoomSync Facebook app.  (You will notify Housing & Residence Life of your roommate preference by updating your Housing application found through My Housing Portal on the Housing web site.)

In collaboration with RoomSync, UW-Eau Claire aims to utilize social networking technology to empower roommate choice.  By giving students the ability to select roommates, we strive to provide a happier and more gratifying campus living experience.  If you have questions about how to use the RoomSync app, please contact our office or visit the RoomSync support page.

Please note that UW-Eau Claire guarantees Housing for all new students that desire it, but does not guarantee a roommate preference, though every effort will be made to honor the roommate preference for those who apply for housing by May 1st.
