When it comes to living at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, it is important to be aware of all the important dates and deadlines. The dates below apply to you if you are a first-year and transfer students starting this fall.

Last day to update your housing contract preferences including roommate groups and living learning community preferences as well as to cancel housing contract. Lastly, this is the date a student must apply by to be eligible to self-select their room.
June 3, 2026
Round 1 Assignments Released: Students who indicated desire for Living Learning Community or International Student Roommates on their housing applications will receive room assignment, if selected for the opportunity.
June 12, 2026
Round 2 Assignments Released:Students who do not receive an assignment during Round 1 will be assigned by Housing & Residence Life staff. Assignments will be processed in the order that completed housing applications were submitted. Housing personnel will work to accommodate student preferences, including roommate requests, to the extent possible based on inventory availability.
