Purchasing signage

A “sign” is interpreted to mean all interior or exterior items used to display a name, direction, warning, or announcement posted for public display. This would include all hardware, components, and accessories related to the value of the sign.

Per the 2017 Act 146, any purchase of signage that exceeds $3,500 must be competitively bid. Campus departments will not need to obtain a waiver from BSI before soliciting competitive bids for signage.

Official sealed bid processes for signage exceeding $3,500 must be run through the campus Purchasing Office. If signage does not exceed the $3,500 limits, it may still be purchased from BSI.
