An example of that is the Branden Atherton Memorial Music Scholarship. This scholarship rewards $8,800 to a music education major. Our program allows music education students receive frequent exposure to public school classroom settings through various curriculum in applied voice, adaptive music, and choral teaching methods. Collaborative and impactful learning opportunities. Student organizations are a huge part of the music + theatre department at UW-Eau Claire. Our music education program has student organizations that cater specifically to choral and general music teaching majors such as, American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and Collegiate National Association for Music Educators (CNAfME). We also offer a variety of other musical and acapella groups like, Audacious, Fifth Element, and Gospel Choir. At UW-Eau Claire we value building a supportive community that builds strong relationships and connections.
