Theatre arts - liberal arts scholarships

UW-Eau Claire offers many different scholarships to students for their success. It's one of our top priorities to create a compassionate environment that embraces differences and provides opportunities for everyone to thrive. An example of that is the Calvin King Quayle Theatre Scholarship. This scholarship offers $1,000 to new or continuing theatre arts students who show promise in theatre arts. Students with financial need are given first consideration. It is our goal to help students feel empowered with the right tools they need to reach their full potential.

Theatre arts - liberal arts bachelor’s degree program highlights

Experiential learning and leading-edge curriculum. As a theatre arts major you will get to complete a core curriculum that introduces you to the fundamentals of theatre arts through courses in acting, directing, technical theatre, design, history, and literature. You will also have the flexibility to focus on topics in an area of emphasis or to study a breadth of courses in all areas of theatre. You will gain additional theatre experience by completing practicum in our shops and productions. UW-Eau Claire's theatre arts program strives to empower its students with the guidance and tools they need to reach their full potential.

Empowering and collaborative learning experiences. UW-Eau Claire's theatre arts program will prepare you for success through high-impact learning experiences. The theatre department offers four main stage productions, a Theatre for Young Audiences touring production, student-directed Short Play Festivals, the New Playwrights Festival, and a dance concert. Each of our productions take place in facilities with state-of-the-art equipment, including access to the theatre facilities at the Pablo Center. Our smaller class sizes allow you to work one-on-one with talented faculty and peers who share the same passions as you. UW-Eau Claire's music and theatre department provides you with a collaborative learning experience so you can create positive and meaningful connections across campus.
