McNair Feature Scholar: Meet Victoria!

Victoria Vu is currently a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire majoring in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies and a Critical Hmong Studies Certificate. She is from Brooklyn Center Minnesota.  
She is in the McNair Scholars program and is currently doing research with professor Kao Nou Moua from the social work department. Her research is about the lived experiences of Hmong individuals with disabilities and their family members. To focus on bringing more awareness to the Hmong community and the wider community of barriers and stigmas they face and to improve social services in helping these individuals and others more effectively. Her goals are to go to graduate school for social work to work with diverse communities.
