Miko Scott is a fourth-year student from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota studying Applied Mathematics with a Statistics emphasis. She is currently doing undergraduate research with Dr. aBa Mbirika and Dan Guyer on the Fibonacci sequence at modulo 10. Miko hopes to graduate in the spring of 2020 and is looking to pursue a PhD in Applied Mathematics and/or a Masters’ program in Data Analytics. Miko would like to become a data analyst for a large corporation or become a professor in mathematics.

UW-Eau Claire biology team collaborates with University of California on field research
Dr. Jennifer Smith has been conducting animal behavior studies on California ground squirrels for a decade. Since she joined the faculty at UWEC, Blugold biology students now can take part in these California-based field studies.
