Economics Student Research

The spring semester is when UW-Eau Claire students get to showcase our excellent student/faculty collaborative research work on multiple stages nationally as well as in Wisconsin and right here in Eau Claire.

Spring 2019 activities included the following presentations by multiple student research groups. Dr. Eric Jamelske’s two student research groups were working on international climate change public opinion and low-income food purchasing and health/nutrition. Dr. Schaffer's student collaboration focused on labor markets and job characteristics. Dr. Kemp worked with students on the impact of water clarity on home prices and redevelopment strategies for Eau Claire. Student that were working with Dr. Li this year had the opportunity to research economic indicators, business forecasting, and the difference in happiness between the U.S. and China. The last faculty member to work with students this semester was Dr. Carroll who participated in research on Hmong refugees.
