I Make This, You Make That

Ther Foster Gallery is pleased to present "I Make This, You Make That" sculptural art exhibition, featuring the work of Edward Kelley and Emily Newman. This exhibition will be on view Wednesday, September 8 through Friday, October 1, 2021. A closing reception will be help Friday, October 1, 6:00-7:30pm. Foster Gallery events and exhibitions are free and open to the public.

Married for sixteen years and raising two kids, the artists Edward and Emily do not collaborate in the studio.  However, with distinctly individual motivations for making, living life together allows formal qualities to overlap in their artwork as they explore similar themes. Although each artist makes under a separate practice, both continue to celebrate the joy of objects and the life they’ve created for their family.
