Dr. Kyle Whipple attended the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators National Conference February 2-4, 2023. He worked in collaboration on two presentations, "Breaking Out of Boxes: Pushing Beyond Gender and Mathematical Binaries" and "Moving Beyond Performative Allyship to Support LGBTQ+ Students, Teachers, and Mathematics Teacher Educators." Dr. Whipple also serves on the Advocacy Board of AMTE and was involved in the creation and implementation of the premiere Advocacy Luncheon which will now be an annual event. Finally, he facilitates the AMTE LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Mathematics Education Community Circle which has grown from 7 initial members to 16 members over the past two years.
