Beta Alpha Psi awarded Superior Chapter

| Carrie Ottum

Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) Zeta Omicron Chapter received international recognition as a Superior Chapter due to their outstanding efforts during the 2018 - 2019 academic year. BAP also received a $500 award. The financial support for this award is graciously sponsored by KPMG and the KPMG Foundation.

Recognition as a Superior Chapter is a significant accomplishment. Under the leadership of faculty advisor, DeeAnne Peterson, the Zeta Omicron Chapter has far exceeded the baseline requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism, and leadership.

In May, BAP co-hosted a Music in the Park event with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Student Accounting Society student organizations to benefit students of Lakeshore Elementary School in Eau Claire.  This event helped BAP achieve the "Superior Chapter" status.

A letter from Dr. Brian McGuire, BAP President to Dean Brewer Doran, McGuire wrote: "As Faculty Advisor for the chapter, Ms. Peterson has provided an invaluable service to our academic institution".

BAP is the National Honor Society for Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
