The marketing department was fortunate enough to recognize a few outstanding marketing students from the graduating class of 2021. For the first time since 2010, there was a tie for the top marketing graduate recognition between Erin Benck and Haadia Malik.
Benck, a marketing major with a professionals sales emphasis from Portage, WI, accepted a position as an Outside Sales Representative with Uline after graduation this month.
Malik, a marketing analytics major from Oshkosh, WI, will be joining Assurance as a Consulting Development Program Analyst.
"A review of Haadia’s and Erin’s accomplishments clearly indicates extremely strong leadership both professionally, in the community, and for UWEC. They both have the vision to see a goal that needs to be achieved, then take the steps to make things happen while demonstrating integrity in everything they do," said Dr. Scott Swanson, professor of management and marketing.
All nominees were chosen based on their future leadership potential and exceptional work ethic demonstrated while at the College of Business.

- Mitchel Van Erem, a marketing analytics major from De Pere, WI
Fourteen students were presented with the Certified Sales Student Certificate sponsored by the University Sales Center Alliance, a consortium of recognized and accredited sales programs from across the United States. The national certificate program recognizes students for going beyond minimal course requirements to prepare themselves for successful sales jobs and careers.
