Jenna Baker, Erin Benck and Victor Tran were the three top finalists at the 18th Annual Blugold Sales Challenge which was held September 20 on the UW-Eau Claire campus. The 2019 competition was supported by a gift from Northwestern Mutual.
Baker is a professional sales marketing major from Nekoosa, WI; Benck is a professionals sales marketing major from Portage, WI; and Tran is a professional sales marketing major from Mounds View, MN
The Blugold Sales Challenge is designed to expose UW-Eau Claire students to a sales competition and give them professional feedback on their selling skills. Rank in the competition determines student participation in the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up and other sales competitions held around the country during the fall 2019 semester.
Benck and team members Katie Folsom and John Rechner will represent the Blugolds at the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up, Oct. 24-26. Attending as an alternate is K.J. Munn and Christina Zaine as a peer coach. Major sponsors for the competition are Hormel Foods and SUPERVALU.
Baker, Tran, Dylan Phinney, and Alex Zell will travel to Orlando to compete at the Florida State University International Collegiate Sales Competition (ISCS), Nov. 6-9. Baker and Tran will represent UW-Eau Claire in the role play competition. Phinney and Zell will compete in the sales management simulation.
