Provided
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's environmental, occupational
health, safety and risk-management functions are located in the Office of Loss
Prevention and Safety. This office reports to the Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

It is our goal to provide a safe and healthful environment
for faculty, staff, students, and persons utilizing our programs and facilities.
Liability Protection
The University is currently protected for liability arising out of the negligent actions of its employees, agents and officers through the State Self-Funded Liability Program(SSLP). This program is administered by the Department of Administration under State Statutes 893.82 and 895.46.

In the event of a tornado warning in this area of the country, it is suggested to evacuate to the lowest level of the building - the designated shelter location as indicated on the floor plans.
