Explore Opportunities

Immerse yourself in the surroundings

We do things a little differently at UW-Eau Claire. Our liberal arts curriculum encourages Blugolds to get out there and live what they are studying now, not after they graduate. Be exposed to new perspectives by experts in the field, people from other cultures, and customs that reveal the complexity of the world around you. Nearly 80 percent of our students have hands-on, high-impact experiences, giving them the confidence and courage to make a difference with their careers. Where will learning take you at UWEC?

Take your learning further

UW-Eau Claire ranks 14th in the nation for students learning around the world. We have been a leader in creating more than 50 safe and exciting locations for you to explore. One in four students will study abroad for at least a semester.

Immerse yourself

Become a citizen of the world. Learn about Middle Eastern culture, cuisine and religion at the international market in Minneapolis; study stream ecology in the Andes Mountains, talk to eye-witnesses to history on the Civil Rights Pilgrimage.

Examine your world

Blugolds do work that's often reserved for graduate students. UWEC is the UW System Center of Excellence for Faculty and Undergraduate Student Research Collaboration - a big name for big opportunities that could change people’s lives – including yours.

Stand out above the rest

An internship is a great way to experience a career before you graduate. About 2,000 official internship opportunities are available each year, and many more are arranged through faculty. UWEC alumni also look to hire Blugolds for internships.
