Social Work Major Application Requirements

• Current UWEC students can skip to Step 2
• Note: a valid UWEC ID and email address will be issued upon acceptance to the university when appropriate fees are paid. A UWEC ID and email are required to complete the social work application.

Students are invited to apply using the current admission to major requirements, as detailed in the catalog.

• 30 credits earned
• Completed SW 100 and SW 220* with grade C or better
• Total GPA of 2.00
• Completion of the university writing requirement

*Prior to taking SW 220, students will need to declare the social work major.

Applications to the major are accepted during a specific period of the Spring and Fall semesters. Application deadlines are typically 4pm on the third Friday of the semester in which you are applying. The application period for each semester will be announced in the weekly department newsletter for that semester.

1. Go to https://eform.uwec.edu
2. Log in with your university credentials
3. Look at the top tabs and go to Start New Form
4. In the <Select Dept> drop down, select Social Work
5. Select SW - Application to Major
6. Fill out the form accurately and be sure to include required attachments.
7. Click the Submit button.
