The UW-Eau Claire Veterans Center is located in Schofield Hall 20 (lower level). The Center was established to provide a meeting place on campus for veteran students, faculty, and staff, to honor them for their service to the country and to be a place of welcome for veterans on campus.

It is a place where veteran students, faculty, and staff can learn more about resources specifically for them, attend programs on veteran needs, and participate in support groups.

Top 10 Military-Friendly Campus

UW-Eau Claire is among the top military friendly campuses in the country, ranking eighth among large public institutions for its support for veterans and their families, according to Viqtory Media’s annual report.

The Vet Center here has made a huge difference in helping ease the transition back into an in-person academic environment. It offers a welcoming space and a direct point of contact for veterans who are trying to figure out how to navigate civilian life and higher education at the same time. Having that support on campus has made this attempt at college far more successful than my first.
