For biomedical engineering major Lauryn Ahlm of Rogers, Minnesota, success in college meant, in part, keeping a chronic medical condition well controlled. Thanks to her service dog, Rosie, Ahlm's severe migraines did not sideline her during college and she is off this summer to a job in medical device manufacturing.

Emily Casey, who will graduate from UW-Eau Claire this month with a social work degree, has overcome a lot to become a college graduate. After the effects of a traumatic brain injury slowed her down for a while, with proper support and accommodations, she will start graduate school in the fall.
