Commencement Checklist

IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

You can't Commence if you don't apply to graduate for May 2013.  Do this sooner rather than later in the semester.  This is part of your Commencement Checklist.

April 9-Speeches due for Student Speaker Competition.  Email to Lynn at commencement@uwec.edu.

April 11-Email Lynn at commencement@uwec.edu if you are NOT walking.

May 2-Last day to request tickets by mail.  See Tickets tab for guidelines.

May 6-Last day for Special Seating requests.

_____Planning to graduate May 2013? You can't graduate if you don't apply! Go to Student Center>Other Academics>Apply to Graduate.

_____Pay any outstanding financial obligations including but not limited to tuition, fines, tickets, fees, etc.  You will not officially graduate until all financial obligations have been reconciled.

_____Update your contact information in MyBlugold. 

_____Go to alumni@uwec.edu and provide an email other than your UWEC email address.

_____Consider being a student speaker for Commencement.  Find more information about this honor on the Student Speaker for Commencement tab.

_____Contact Career Services for help finding professional positions, resume writing and other career-related assistance.

_____Visit the University Bookstore to order graduation announcements or academic regalia.  Consider the purchase of an international stole if you studied abroad.

_____Attend the "Senior Countdown" event on April 24 from 10-2 in the Alumni and Dakota rooms in Davies to receive your tickets and register to win a VIP Package for Commencement Day.

_____Arrange any special seating necessary for elderly or disabled guests at Senior Countdown.

_____Take a moment and enjoy all that you've accomplished!  We are very proud of each of you!
