Throughout your time as a Blugold you will have access to countless resources to ensure your academic success at UW-Eau Claire. Our Advising, Retention and Career Center (ARCC) is one of those resources. 

Academic advisors help you select your major, create your graduation plan, and explore careers. You’ll be assigned an academic advisor based on your major.

Career counselors assist with understanding the relationship between your educational choices and career fields and help you with resumes/cover letters, interview skills, professional profiles, and internship/job searches.

How do we help? We: 

  • answer questions

  • offer connections
  • provide support
  • advise, troubleshoot and consult

How do we empower students? We:

  • teach you to find answers

For biomedical engineering major Lauryn Ahlm of Rogers, Minnesota, success in college meant, in part, keeping a chronic medical condition well controlled. Thanks to her service dog, Rosie, Ahlm's severe migraines did not sideline her during college and she is off this summer to a job in medical device manufacturing.

Emily Casey, who will graduate from UW-Eau Claire this month with a social work degree, has overcome a lot to become a college graduate. After the effects of a traumatic brain injury slowed her down for a while, with proper support and accommodations, she will start graduate school in the fall.
