Definitions
Category 1
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student organizations and recognized Organized Activities holding an event targeted primarily for university members. This type of event does not charge admission or is in no way revenue producing. Client does not incur any charges.
Category 1B
Recognized Student Organizations charging admission. Student Segregated Fee/Organized Activity Organizations charging admission.
Category 2
Activities and/or events sponsored by UW-Eau Claire administrative offices and academic departments. Event is charged room rental rate and al carte pricing – if applicable.
Category 2B
Educational programs and state agencies that sponsor an event where the majority of participants do not consist of UW-Eau Claire students, faculty or staff but whose activity is consistent with the university mission, goals and priorities.
Nonprofit organizations that have an active 501(c)(3) status, commonly referred to as charitable organizations.
Category 3
Professional organizations, community service organizations, private commercial, and non 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization - group that focus on events that are not directly related to the university's mission.
Half Day | A reservation is considered a half day rental if the actual meeting/event is 5 hours or less. The Event Services set up/strike times prior to and after the reservation are not taken into consideration when determining if the reservation is full/half day.
Non-Revenue Event | An event that does not charge admission or is in no way revenue producing.
Revenue Event | An event that charges admission or is revenue producing.
Registered Students Organizations | UW-Eau Claire student organizations registered with the Activities, Involvement & Leadership Office.
