Upward Bound
A leg up toward college
The Upward Bound program at UW-Eau Claire is a federally-funded TRIO program dedicated to the preparation for, admission to, and successful completion of a college degree for eligible first-generation and/or low-income high school students. Through academic support, study group sessions, leadership workshops, financial assistance and more, we help to ensure success for students who may otherwise fall through the cracks.
Closing the opportunity gap
Upward Bound at UW-Eau Claire has been named a recipient of the 2018 Diversity Award from the UW System Board of Regents.

Student support to level the field
When Melady Vue learned about the college preparation program Upward Bound, she had no way of knowing it would bring her not only to her goal of a degree, but also to a fulfilling career helping area youth chase their own college dreams.
