Experience diversity at its best

As a social worker, you will experience diversity within communities, families, organizations, and individuals. What better way to experience and learn about cultural diversities firsthand than through a study abroad program? At UWEC we are strong advocates for study abroad opportunities, which is why we work closely with you to allow for these experiences while still finishing your degree in four years. If you are interested in studying abroad, talk to your advisor right away to ensure you can plan accordingly.

What's National Student Exchange?

Having a new cultural experience does not have to happen overseas. UW-Eau Claire is one of 200 universities participating in National Student Exchange, which allows students to spend a semester at a campus in one of 49 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Canada or Puerto Rico. While paying their Blugold tuition rate, students are able to have a whole new academic and cultural experience, progress toward graduation and gain valuable diversity of perspective.
