Research in Music + Theatre
Dive deeper into the arts
If you worry for one minute that music and theatre students don’t have the same opportunities to focus on research as majors housed across the bridge, have no fear. There is plenty of research and creative activity going on among the faculty and students of Haas Fine Arts. UW-Eau Claire been designated as the Center of Excellence for Faculty and Undergraduate Student Research in the UW System, with good reason.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs encourages students in all disciplines to apply for funding to support creative activity, and to participate in the annual Celebration of Excellence in Research and Creative Activity (CERCA). You too can pursue that special interest area within music or theatre arts and possibly add “published research” to your list of accomplishments as a Blugold. Here are some examples of past faculty/student research experiences.
