Studying Voice
A vocal education at UWEC consists of weekly one-on-one lessons with one of our distinguished voice faculty. You will prepare a variety of solo repertoire and perform frequently in your voice professor’s studio class. Music education and performance majors enroll in voice pedagogy, exploring voice science and how to be a successful voice teacher. Voice performance majors enjoy a vocal literature course and diction classes in English, German, French, and Italian.

Personalized Instruction
No matter your path, here at UW-Eau Claire, our highly trained voice faculty will help you to develop your musical skills and find your niche. Small class sizes promote meaningful relationships amongst peers, and a more personalized education from our student-focused faculty. Each year, learn from dozens of engaging guest artists who present special classes, masterclasses, and performance opportunities to the department.
In addition to UW-Eau Claire admission requirements, students enrolling as a music major or minor are required to successfully complete a departmental audition for instrument or voice prior to enrolling. Learn more:
