First Fridays Clearwater Recital Hall Pablo Center

First Fridays Faculty Recital Series

Held on the first Friday of each month during the UW–Eau Claire academic year, this series highlights the talent and versatility of the university’s voice, piano, wind, brass, percussion, and string faculty. These intimate recitals take place in Pablo Center Clearwater Recital Hall known for its sweeping panoramic views of the confluence of the downtown rivers. Each performance features an engaging mix of solo and chamber repertoire, with past programs including works by composers such as Schumann, Farrenc, Poulenc, Brahms, and Ravel.

Gatsby's Gala | November 8, 2025

Celebrating over 10 years, this annual party/fundraiser has whisked audiences of all ages back to the roaring 1920s! Complete with raucous big bands, exquisite ballroom decor, and vintage black-tie attire, guests are surrounded by the sights and sounds of the era all night long.

A Cappella Extravaganza | October 17, 2025

From pop to renaissance, this must-see performance by our university a cappella ensembles showcases the art of a cappella singing. Our university a cappella groups are student-led and consist of both music majors and non-majors.

Holiday Concert | December 7, 2025

Enjoy a festive holiday tradition as the UW-Eau Claire Foundation welcomes the community to the university’s annual Holiday Concert, now held at the Pablo Center at the Confluence. For decades, this cherished event has showcased the musical talent of the UWEC Music Department string, choral, wind, and percussion students.

Haas Lobby Holiday Concert | December 12, 2025

A festive favorite for the whole community, this free and open to the public event fills Haas Fine Arts Center with holiday cheer as music students perform seasonal tunes around the giant Christmas tree at the heart of building every year.

Cabaret Productions | January 22-31, 2026

Since 1978, Cabaret Productions has provided Music and Theatre Arts students the opportunity to design, arrange, choreograph, and perform an annual student-led variety show.

Viennese Ball | April 10-11, 2026

The Viennese Ball is a formal event recalling the romance and elegance of 19th-century Vienna, Austria through an evening of performances by the UWEC Music and Theatre students all night long.

Confluence Dance Project | March 27-28, 2026

Showcasing faculty, guest, and student choreography, the Confluence Dance Project demonstrates an array of choreography and the versatility of students in the dance program. For two nights only, audiences experience the exciting works created by professionals and students in the field and enjoy the breadth of talented dancers on stage.

Eau Claire Jazz Festival | April 17-18, 2026

The Eau Claire Jazz Festival is a regional music festival, dedicated to educating, entertaining and promoting jazz. Since 1967, this educational and cultural jazz festival has earned its distinction as one of the oldest and largest events by providing local, national, and international artists the opportunity to showcase their creative work over two eventful days.
