The Office of Graduate Studies is within the division of Academic Affairs. Graduate Studies provides oversight for graduate education in the university. We administer graduate assistantships, most of the graduate fellowships, records, policies and other procedures relating to graduate students. Applications for admission are collected by the Office of Admissions, and are then forwarded to the Graduate Program Director/Coordinator where a recommendation is then sent to the College and Graduate Dean.
Effective immediately, there is an exciting new option for submitting your thesis or research paper! You can now just provide Graduate Studies with one signed and UNBOUND copy of your final paper, and we will digitize and upload your paper to Minds@UW, which is an electronic archival database that serves the UW System. If you choose this electronic submission option, you will NOT be required to submit the two hard-bound copies!
If you choose this new option for submitting your paper, the final unbound copy that you submit to Graduate Studies can be printed on plain white recycled paper, single-sided. It does not need to be on the expensive cotton-bond paper, which is required of the hard bound copies. However, you must continue to follow the Thesis Manual for formatting your paper!
Please refer to the Consent Form for your thesis submission options.
