Community-Engaged Learning Info for Students

1. Go to: https://cel.apps.uwec.edu/
2. Click on "Proposals" or "Home"
3. Tiles of different proposals show up. You can filter to sort them out to find projects that interests you!

We'd love to meet with you and help you find a project that suits your interest. Schedule an appointment through Navigate!

You can customize your own community-engaged learning project! Here are some important things to keep in mind:

1. Basic rule of thumb is working for non-profits. This includes Faith based organizations, schools, governmental entities, and anyone with a non-profit tax status.
2. You can do your community-engaged learning for a for-profit, but you cannot help them make money. Talk to us before starting!
3. It is best to talk with a member of the community-engaged learning team if you have questions. You can schedule an appointment through Navigate.

If you found your project on our site (cel.apps.uwec.edu), then here's what you need to do:

• If so, Click +Project at the bottom of the proposal
• Fill out the top section (most will autofill) and answer the questions (2-3 sentences for each is fine).
• You will need to find a mentor, a UWEC faculty or academic staff member who will help you reflect on what you learn through your project. Most people ask a professor or advisor. You can apply once you have permission from that person. You will list only their username in the application (the letters before the @ in their email address).
• Make sure to check both boxes at the bottom before submitting.

1. You will receive an automated email asking you to complete your post-survey
2. Go to: https://cel.apps.uwec.edu/ and Login
3. Go to your project, by clicking "My projects."
4. Click on the "Complete post survey" button

*Please note: "Complete project evaluation" is a message for your supervisor
