That’s where Hanlin Liu found herself when she came to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as part of the Cooperation in Higher Education and Professional Development dual-degree program, known as CHEPD 1+2+1.

The program allows students from China to earn dual degrees, studying during years one and four in China and years two and three at UW-Eau Claire. After completing the program, students receive degrees from both universities.

Liu, who will graduate in May with a degree in finance, says she came here with what she called a “blank résumé.”

She sat down with us and looked back at all that happened during her two years at UW-Eau Claire. There were classroom successes, research, and internship and travel opportunities. There were also some setbacks that made her stronger. It all combined to fill that blank résumé as she prepares for what’s ahead as a Blugold alumna.
