Foundation: Financial Specialist II, Lead and Gift Matching Coordinator
Job Information
POSITION: A full-time university staff position is available in University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation beginning June 1, 2025. The working title of this assignment is Lead and Matching Gift Coordinator with an official title of Financial Specialist II, Lead and Matching Gift Coordinator. This is an expected-to-continue assignment which requires a six-month probationary period. The expected hourly hiring salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Showcases skills such as being efficient with time management and meeting deadlines, as well as having a high attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior foundation or non-profit experience, data entry experience, cash handling & processing experience and experience working with databases such as Raiser’s Edge or PeopleSoft.
DUTIES:
- This position supervises and serves as the lead staff member for all cash receipts processing and demographic updating on donors and alumni for the Development and Alumni Relations area.
- Assist with gift entry batch entry as needed for all gifts made to the Foundation.
- Record special gifts such as stock and gift-in-kind donations into the Raiser’s Edge software.
- This position is responsible for making independent decisions on gifts that are not clearly designated.
- Audit, post and receipt all gifts to finish the gift entry process. Ensure all entries are completed accurately and that all gifts are posted timely.
- Prepare invoices for donors and enter one-time pledges onto the donor records.
- Prepare adjustment forms and complete gift adjustments when needed.
- Manage and maintain the matching gift program and serve as the office contact for all matching gift related items.
- Help assist with providing training to new staff and student employees on the office procedures related to gift entry
- Help maintain records, foundation accounts & administrative support for the Foundation.
