Sustainability Research
UW-Eau Claire is a national leader in undergraduate research, and many faculty members work directly with students to explore sustainability topics through research.
Recent projects include:
- Sustainable Removal of Hazardous Textile Contaminants Using Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
- Exploring the impact of two methane mitigation strategies on rumen microbiomes of grazing steers
- Institutional Forces Shaping Sustainability in Medical Healthcare Textiles
- Identifying Opportunities to Participate in Advanced Energy: An Investigation into Estimating Real Capacity for Green Manufacturing and Structural Reform
- Restoration of the Salton Sea: A Stakeholder Engagement Model for Sustainable Development
- Climate and Environmental Health: Education for Rural Communities
- Trailblazers in green business: unconventional practices and motivation within a chamber of commerce business network
In addition to being an incredible learning experience, your project could even be recognized with awards. For example, each year, students are given the opportunity to win a $1,500 prize by presenting their sustainability research to the Chippewa Valley Community at Eau Claire Earth Fest.
