The college experience brings excitement, challenges, new friendships and new experiences for students.

Every once in a while, however, it can also bring a longing for the comforts of home.

There’s a new employee on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus who can help provide that comfort. She’s furry, has four legs and goes by the name Mocha.

Mocha works for the University Police department as its newest therapy dog. It’s a position that demands a lot of responsibility for lifting the mood of students, faculty and staff across campus.

And even though Mocha is just over 10 weeks old, she’s already shouldering that responsibility like a champ.
