Ashley Walton-Beal, M.S., LPC (she/her/hers)

Ashley is a Counselor at UWEC Counseling Services and the AODA coordinator. She obtained her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Ashley's areas of clinical interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment to college, stress management, identity development, intersectionality, and concerns related to gender identity and sexual orientation. She also conducts AODA and ADHD assessments. Ashley is committed to working from an anti-oppressive framework, understanding the impact of her identities on the clinical relationship, and maintaining cultural humility. Ashley’s approach is from a humanistic, existential, cognitive behavioral, and feminist lens with an emphasis in client empowerment.

Ashley is also a certified Equine Therapist (ESMHL) with Path International and teaches a section of Psych 251 Abnormal Psychology. 

Ashley has completed her EDI Tier 3 certificates by facilitating a book club for A Guide To Gender and facilitating a training titled "Confronting Problematic Behavior" with CETL. 

In her free time, Ashley loves doing yoga, spending time in nature, eating tacos, playing board games, and chilling with her two dogs and 3 legged cat.
