The Academic Skills Center supports all students in meeting their academic goals. We empower students to grow as reflective and resilient learners by facilitating peer-learning opportunities, providing academic success instruction, and creating welcoming environments for learning.
This is my 4th year as a Learning Center Specialist in the Academic Skills Center where I coordinate our Supplemental Instruction program and teach Strategies for Academic Success (GEN 110).

Prof. Root is a Learning Center Specialist in the Academic Skills Center where she coordinates the Peer Tutoring program and teaches academic support classes. She is also a lecturer in the Dept. of Physics & Astronomy where she teaches the occasional introductory physics course. She enjoys helping students navigate college life and find academic success.
Zoe is a Learning Center Specialist in the Academic Skills Center where she coordinates the Peer Academic Coaching program and teaches academic success courses. Her focus in her work is to help students learn about college life and to guide them as they strive to reach their goals, both personally and professionally.
