Open recreation offers students, faculty, and staff of UW-Eau Claire the opportunity to participate in recreational activities in a less structured setting. All open recreation activities take place within the McPhee Physical Education Center and the Ade Olson addition. Use of the facility for open recreation is on a first come first serve basis during open recreation hours. Patrons can check out equipment from the open recreation office which is located near court 4 of the Ade Olson addition. Listed below are the items that can be checked out:
- Badminton Racquets
- Dodgeballs
- Footballs
- Frisbees
- Indoor/Outdoor Soccer Balls

- Wallyball Net and Ball

To check out any equipment, you must present your Blugold ID. If you need assistance with court set up, please ask a recreation staff member to assist you. Reminder: when playing racquetball, eyewear must be worn at all times.
