Traditions Keeper

Being a Blugold is about exploring your passions and building community. The Traditions Keeper program reflects the wide variety of meaningful opportunities available to students and staff. By participating in these traditions, you will make new relationships, memories, and help keep our traditions alive for years to come. Becoming a Traditions Keeper is the best way to become part of our campus community and embrace what it means to be a Blugold. The Traditions Keeper program is open to anyone associated with the university.

How It Works

The full list of traditions can be found on the Traditions Keeper Blugold Connect+ webpage. As participants experience different traditions, they will be able to track their progress as they go with the Traditions Checklist. This checklist can be accessed on the Blugold Connect+ Traditions webpage or under "My Checklists" on the Blugold Connect+ menu.

Tradition Tiers and Milestones

As participants progress through the Traditions Checklist, they will earn various tokens to commemorate their experiences. Each tier is also associated with a milestone token you may receive.

The Traditions Keeper Challenge Coin is where the journey begins! Students will receive this coin to encourage them to rise to the challenge of exploring our campus, our traditions, and become a Traditions Keeper.

1. 25 Traditions - participants earn their first Traditions Explorer Lapel Pin.
2. 50 Traditions - participants earn the next level Traditions Explorer Lapel Pin. 
3. 75 Traditions - participants earn the UW–Eau Claire Traditions Keeper Graduation Medallion.
   1. Participants are encouraged to wear this medallion at commencement.
   2. Participants will also receive an official Certificate of Accomplishment.

Participants will need to submit a Token Request Form for the first two tiers. They will receive confirmation and instructions for token pick-up. To earn the medallion, participants must submit a brief reflection form and include a photo of themselves participating in their favorite tradition.
