The Math Retreat is the day of celebration of undergraduate mathematics research in the UWEC Mathematics Department. This is an annual event at UW-Eau Claire where students showcase the research and scholarly projects, they have worked on with faculty mentors.
Throughout the first part of the day, students, faculty members, and visitors are invited to attend and engage in oral presentations that highlight the excellence, hard work, diversity, and creativity of our students and faculty.
After lunch, attendees are invited to the Andrew Balas lecture, which is an exciting and inviting 50-minute talk, aimed at a general audience that is enthusiastic about learning Mathematics and its applications.
Math Retreat is done in collaboration with the UW-Eau Claire's week-long annual Celebration of Excellence in Research and Creative Activity (CERCA).
