Parking and Transportation

For visitors, students and faculty/staff alike, parking can cause confusion on a college campus. At UWEC, we want everyone to be informed about what our parking system looks like and never be left wondering, can I park here? See below for Dec 2025 - Jan 2026 parking information.

Our Focus

Parking policies and regulations at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are aimed at enhancing public safety, maintaining flexibility and choice, meeting customer demand for convenience and affordability and supporting the University's mission and goals. The parking and transportation unit has a comprehensive approach that includes managing parking assets, promoting transit and alternative modes of transportation.

Updates for December 2025 - January 2026

UWEC Upper Campus:

• Effective 4pm on Thursday, Dec 18th through 6am on Monday, Jan 26th-- No enforcement of these listed permit required areas: Residential Hall stalls - "R", Activity lot stalls - "A", Bollinger lot stalls - "B".
• All other parking regulations are in effect on upper campus.

UWEC Lower Campus: 

• Effective 8am on Monday, Dec 15th through 9pm on Sunday, Jan 4th-- Visitor Lot A will temporarily be changed to AMP payment required, 8am-9pm daily.
• On Monday, Jan 5th at 8am, Visitor lot A will return to a Visitor's Permit being required, Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm. AMP payment will be required weeknights from 4pm-9pm and weekends from 8am-9pm.
• All other UWEC parking regulations are in effect on lower campus.​

UWEC Priory:

• Effective 4pm on Thursday, Dec 18th through 6am on Monday, Jan 26th-- No enforcement of F/S/R campus permit at the Priory campus.
• .All UWEC parking regulations are in effect at the Priory campus.
