Parking and Transportation

For visitors, students and faculty/staff alike, parking can cause confusion on a college campus. At UWEC, we want everyone to be informed about what our parking system looks like and never be left wondering, can I park here? See below for Summer 2025 information.

Our Focus

Parking policies and regulations at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are aimed at enhancing public safety, maintaining flexibility and choice, meeting customer demand for convenience and affordability and supporting the University's mission and goals. The parking and transportation unit has a comprehensive approach that includes managing parking assets, promoting transit and alternative modes of transportation.

Updates for Fall 2025

UWEC Parking is excited to announce the new Meadows Parking Lot, located between the Towers Lot and the Oak Ridge Lot. The lot capacity is 250 stalls. The Meadows Lot will open on August 25, 2025. A Resident “R” permit required 24 hours a day starting Mondays at 6am through Fridays at 4pm.

UWEC Upper Campus:

• All UWEC parking regulations are in effect on upper campus parking lots.​
• Effective August 25, 2025, Corner Lot will return to being managed by UWEC Parking. It will contain 176 stalls: approx. 100 R permit required, 60 F or S permit required, & 15 AMP.
• Effective May 19, 2025 until further notice, UWEC 'C' Lot (Across Clairemont) is managed by CVTC. If you have additional questions, please visit the CVTC website at http://bit.ly/cvtc_parking 

UWEC Lower Campus: 

• All UWEC parking regulations are in effect on lower campus parking lots.​
• Effective May 16th, 2025, AMP zone 3- HHC Parking lot, will not be available. It is tentatively set to return in the Fall-TBD.
• Reminder: Visitor Lots A and B (AMP Zones 11 & 2) are inactive Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During this time, a visitor permit is required. Both Visitor Lot AMP zones are active Monday to Friday after 4:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM with payment required. 

UWEC Priory:

• All UWEC parking regulations are in effect.
