Presentations by Educators who Focus on the Hyphen in Teacher-Scholar
Teacher-Scholar presentations will demonstrate the wide variety of ways to make the connection between teacher and scholar.
- Scholarship of discovery informing teaching. (Research suggested that productivity as a researcher is positively associated with instructors' ratings from students.)
- Scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL) develops models for effective teaching.
- Scholarly teachers use results of SOTL and other education research to improve their practice.
- Great teaching (including mentoring of students in research, schloarship and creative activity) can inform and inspire new scholars and scholarly projects.
