Kathy Maves is a ceramic artist and potter with over 25 years of experience. She maintains a studio outside of Boyceville, Wisconsin. Her current work includes functional-based ceramics with marbling and digitally-developed imagery. Her stoneware dragonfly-patterned work is represented at Bell Street Gallery on Madeleine Island and Brickyard Pottery, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. In the fall of 2022, Maves will be making a site-specific collaborative piece with UWEC art students that coincides with a visit from the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents. This piece explores themes of person, place, individuality, community, history, and geography and will be on public display in Schofield hall in late September of 2022.
