Research and Creative Activities

Synvolcanic metallogeny and tectonic reconstruction of the Penokean orogen in Wisconsin. Research has focused on the deposit-scale interpretations of various volcanogenic massive sulfide bodies and hydrothermally-altered host rocks in the Precambrian rocks in Wisconsin.
Geodynamic and metallogenic reconstructions on Archean greenstone belts. Research has involved assessment of regional-scale volcanic architecture through trace element and isotopic geochemistry.
Petrogenesis of volcanic assemblages in Precambian terranes. This research uses state-of-the-art analytical facilities to obtain in-situ mineral and whole-rock geochemistry to make interpretations about magmatic evolution of ancient terranes and how it influences metal deposits.
