Biography
Won is Professor of Integrated Strategic Communication at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. In addition, he has received a position as a nonresident scholar at the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. He has made a concerted effort to develop a research program on Asian affairs and U.S.-Asia relations. Specifically, the research program has set the tone for continued studies geared to advance our scientific understanding of the news media and society in East Asian countries. His writings have appeared in Communication Theory, Journal of International Communication, Handbook of International and Intercultural Communication, International Communication Gazette, Media International Australia, Sage Handbook of Propaganda, Journal of Environmental Studies and Sciences and The Palgrave Handbook of International Communication and Sustainable Development, among others. He teaches courses on research methodology, strategic communication, international communication, and globalization, culture, & digital power.
