Professional portrait of Peter Hart-Brinson
  • Professor
  • Sociology
  • Communication and Journalism

Peter Hart-Brinson holds a joint appointment in the Departments of Sociology and Communication/Journalism. His teaching and research interests lie at the intersection of culture, media, and politics. His two active research projects concern generational change in Americans' attitude about same-sex marriage and the rise of fitness fundraisers and other forms of civic recreation in American civil society. The thing he loves most about UW-Eau Claire is working with motivated, intellectually curious students on independent and collaborative research projects, and he is always open to talking with students about their own intellectual interests and aspirations.
