Tracy Drier, M.B.A., CPA

Tracy Drier was appointed UW-Eau Claire's Interim Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration in February 2024.

She has over twenty years of experience in higher education with the last five at UW-Eau Claire. During her time at UW-Eau Claire she has taken on progressive levels of leadership, first as Director of Budget and Resource Planning and most recently as Executive Director of Finance and Administration, serving as Chief Human Resources Officer and leading the budget and human resources departments.

Tracy holds a BA in accounting from Augsburg University and a MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and is a certified public accountant.


Responsibilities

The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA) works directly with the Chancellor and serves as the chief financial officer of UW-Eau Claire. The Vice Chancellor is responsible for a wide range of administrative, budgetary, student-life and other functions. Campus units reporting to the Vice Chancellor include Budget & Resource Planning; Children's Nature Academy; Facilities; Human Resources; Procurement & Strategic Sourcing; Risk Management, Safety & Sustainability; University Accounting; and University Police.

The Vice Chancellor represents UW-Eau Claire on budgetary and administrative matters with state government, UW System Administration, the Board of Regents, the private sector and the general public. The Vice Chancellor also maintains a consultative and collaborative working relationship with faculty, staff and student governance groups and committees in program and policy development.
