Lee Chepil is the Interim International Student Advisor at UW-Eau Claire. His role is to serve the students in the CHEPD Dual Degree program, advise the Chinese Student and Scholars Association club, and provide general immigration advising to international students.
Prior to arriving at UW-Eau Claire, Lee was an international student coordinator and a student services coordinator for almost three years at UWSP-Marathon County. In both roles, Lee served as an academic advisor, and provided immigration advising and cultural adjustment support to the international students. Lee also served as the Residence Hall Director at an international high school where he managed a large population of Chinese students, plus students from many other countries.
Lee earned Student Affairs Administration master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. His capstone project was built on designing a peer-mentor program between domestic and international students at a two-year college to enhance cross-cultural communication and awareness.
Outside of the office, Lee enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports, spending time in the Wisconsin outdoors, and travelling.
